GHW Bush has been one of hundreds of names on the CT suspect list for
decades. He was a Texas oilman and former director of the CIA, both
entities that have at one time or another been accused of engineering the
assassination. A case of guilt by association. He also drew suspiscion
because said he didn't remember where he was when he heard JFK had been
shot. Some have gone so far as to claim he was in Dallas directing the
assassination.
Of course it's connected . Everything is connected . Except CTer's and

Proof :
Hint : If the assassination is trans historical , involves hated
characters that go back to my generation , you've got a perfect candidate
in the perfect package , the hated hick of history LBJ , that killed JFK
because of his much despised Vietnam War * . Where as today to update the
assassination and give it new characters to hate , you've got GHWB
demising Camel-whatever , because of his son's equally unpopular Iraq War
. You think about it after a few moments and you realize that the
assassination like a piece of cheese left out-doors for a couple of weeks
undergoes a metamorphosis .
They're still ironing out a few wrinkles and winkling out a few ironies
after 46 years . Think of this GHWB involvement as a sort of .... Hmmmm ??
.... Oh.... a mentally or morally challenged persons attempt to bridge the
generation gap .
If you hold your breath it'll be the 50th anniversary pretty soon .

Winning the battle does not guarantee winning the war. Japan won the
battle at Pearl Harbor, but lost the war because they woke the sleeping
giant. And their own military experts warned that this is exactly what
would happen.

Apparently no one helped you with your grammar.
Sure, but the important thing is to link him as part of an ongoing
conspiracy by the rich to always act against the interests of the people.
There is nothing substantive to it. It is like six degrees of separation.
George H.W. Bush was about to give a speech at a Rotary Club luncheon
in Tyler, Texas, when they heard the news of President Kennedy's
death. The speech was cancelled. Barbara Bush was at a beauty parlor
in Tyler when she got the news.
There are very real connections between George H.W Bush and the
assassination. What his "role" was is unknown. Bush was in George
DeMohrenschildt's (Oswald's White Russian "friend" in Dallas) address
book, and Bush rang the FBI with information regarding the assassination.
There are also numerous documents linking "George Bush of the CIA" to
anti-Castro Cubans - Bush denies it was him, and he testified before
congress at the time of his apppointment as CIA Director that he had never
worked for the CIA before - and claims the documents are referring to some
other 'George Bush" who at one time worked for the CIA - this George Bush
when interviewed denies the documents are about him as he was not employed
by the agency in clandestine work. Also, Bush claims he does not know
where he was during the assassination - must be one of the few Americans
who can't remember. There is a photograph of man resembling George Bush
standing outside the TSBD straight after the assassination, however it is
too grainy and distant to tell for sure one way or the other. George H.W
Bush is an extremely shady character when you examine his history, and
lies roll off his tongue continuously. You might enjoy this youtube vidoe
(disclaimer, while this does not prove anything about Bush's role in the
assassination, you would have to agree he smiled at the most suspicious
moment!)
"George Bush" is not an unusual name. "George" is very common (it's
actually my own first name—I'm a "George W.) and forty, fifty years
ago, at least, there was a family of Bushes in my tiny hometown in
West Virginia (it would surprise me very much if there was any close
relation...). It's a pretty big country, y'know, and there must be
people named Bush all over it. CIA agents come from all over the U S
of A, and there are thousands of CIA agents. Anyway, we know where
George H.W. Bush was on the fateful day of November 22 of that year
(see yeudh's post, above). He was a very busy man, it was just one
speaking engagement like another, where he said nothing particularly
memorable, especially not to himself...
/sandy
Sigh. We did much more for Ho than he did for us. We trained his men
and gave him the 5,000 arms he used to consolidate his power in 1945.
Without these arms he would have been a rather impotent revolutionary.
Do you also think we double crossed Joe Stalin?
Why do you always sympathize with the communist?
Bill Clarke
I meant to write, "where he *would have* said nothing particularly
memorable" (as I'm sure G.H.W. Bush would have had a written speech
prepared). /sm
Another CIA apologist chimes in. The circumstances point only and
specifically to the Texan George Bush, not some lowly Washington analyst.
The theories about George Bush being in Dealey Plaza are silly and come
only from the kooks. Others try to tie all the Bushes into all the crimes
of the ruling class.
You mis-read history again and why not , it's typical for you ?
The Japanese supposed victory at Pearl Harbor was in fact a serious
strategic defeat ! :
a) Japanese planes missed their prime targets the aircraft carriers which
weren't present .
b) Japanese planes sank useless obsolete old battleships , all but two
raised and rebuilt into modern shore bombardment platforms and anti-
aircraft fleet support and fought the last battleship to battleship
engagement ever at the 'Battle of Suragio Straights'
c) Japanese planes missed an equal amount of these types of old
battleships which remained undamaged in our Atlantic Fleet on the eastern
seaboard .
d) Japanese planes missed the tanker Neosho berthed in-between battleship
row and the USS California which if hit was a major potential
conflageration point for the entire harbor area .
e) Japanese planes missed the fleet oil storage facility's .
f) Japanese planes missed damaging the fleet repair facility's , drydocks
, and all redundant backup fleet support facility's.
g) Japanese planes didn't miss pissing off the American people , uniting a
divided country into a unified whole determined to 'Remember Pearl Harbor'
.
h) Japanese planes didn't miss by their actions to remind Hitler who his
allie was and he responded by declaring war on the US two weeks later ,
which solved all of FDR's problems because he wasn't going to fight Hitler
but concentrate on the Pacific Campaign only and let the European's fight
their own war .
These are but a few of the major mistakes that made the Japanese regret
attacking Pearl Harbor only once and that was continuously until they
surrendered .
tl
Talk about shady characters , what about shady posts ?
My goodness you rattle off silly JFK factoids like there's no
tomorrow ?
What gives ? Americans want to know ?
Are you upset that they just named our newest aircraft carrier USS GHWB
and not the USS Clinton or Kennedy ? Sorry plank walker yer ships
obsolete.
Or are you just jelous that he was a brave and decorated WW2 pilot that
got shot down over the Japanese island of Chi-chi Jima , survived , was
rescued and while coming aboard the submariner they filmed the pick-up and
your hero JFK actions were best forgotten and thank God never filmed ?

Bush Senior? I don't object to that, just as you deny that he was a war

It achieved its tactical goal. To disable to American fleet and give

I am just glad that my posts cause you so much angst! I do admit to
finding JFK a very attractive man, but that really goes without
saying. I'm afraid that George Bush Snr was up to his neck in anti-
Castro operations, and CIA shenanigans way before his commission as
CIA Director. Him denying it is noting unusual, in fact it is standard
CIA operating procedure! It will all come out and be accepted as truth
in the end, it's just the Americans thinks all it's Presidents are
"Golden Boys" sent straight from God, so I understand your dilemna.
You are demonstrating that you don't know much about the memos in
question. It was George H.W Bush, no question. Link to the memo to
come.
You know that George H.W Bush rang the FBI with information regarding
a James Parrot in Houston (a university student) making threats
against JFK's life?
Stalin like Ho was an ally of convenience, to be easily discarded after we
defeated the Germans, Italians, and Japanese. The US also gave Stalin a
LOT of arms and supplies during WWII. Then we made him our official enemy
because we had run out of enemies.

But I know that he didn't have anything to do with the assassination.
It's impossible that these memos could be evidence that he was or that
he did.

Kennedy.
Wouldn't you inform the FBI if you knew someone was threatening the
president's life?
How would doing so implicate Bush in the later assassination?

*I* meant "James"! Must've been thinking "John Birch."

What is the point when JFK was ALREADY dead? Why not give the information
when it could have really been useful? How did Bush Snr know this Parrott?
How do you know he was a "typical John Bircher with a screw loose?" This
memo does not implicate Bush in the assassination but it is indicitative
of how a spy operates: giving useless information to the authorities so it
is on the record that you are in a particular place at a particular time

It might help find the killer, or perhaps people who were part of some
plot.

Perhaps because it was hearsay and he didn't take it too seriously.

The memo doesn't say.

Oh my God!
What kind of thought process is that?
It's now a concerned citizen operates: pass along information that
might be helpful to authorities in solving a crime.

Look . . . you go at this entire case backwards.
You first make a list of people with whom you have a political
disagreement, and then you start trying to inplicate them in the
assassination.
Sandy is likely well to the left of you. He works for THE NATION,
after all.
But he isn't always trying to blame people with whose political views
he differs.
You need to take a lesson from him.

I'm not following your logic. Maybe you'd have a point if Bush had
brought it out 40 years later. But this is just after the assassination
and they thought it was a conspiracy, so they might be looking for
conspirators.

I don't know how things work in Oz, but everywhere else someone can be
an informant or a source without being a spy. Bush was not a CIA officer
then. He was a CIA contact, a source. Like Clay Shaw.
He may not have been an "officer" but he was still trained in, or was
knowledgeable in, intelligence operations.
ESCUSE ME, but I think I will pass on that lesson. Why don't you ask
Sandy why Mr Bush felt it was important to pass this information on to
the FBI AFTER the President was dead?? Might have helped if this
information was known while the President was still alive!!! But that
seems lost on you lot. I blame the CIA for the assassination (maybe
thats why I dislike them so much????) That was my suspicion to begin
with, and it just gets stronger very year. I find it implausible that
George Bush became the Director of the CIA out of nowhere, at that
particular time, when it was facing a lot of negative publicity, and
that the memos mentioning him (yes him, not the other random George
Bush, who flatly denied it could be him as he had nothing to do with
that stuff) indicate that he was involved in the CIA operations
against Castro. I vastly dislike Australia's current Prime Minister,
but I would never blame him for things there was no evidence for. I do
not operate that way, contrare to your opinion.
Has it been established that Bush *had* the info in question before
JFK was dead?

I've attached the memo.
It's not clear on when Bush got the information.
Of course, even if he had it a day or two, Bush or anybody else might
have assumed that the fellow was a blowhard.
There are always some hotheads saying the president should be shot,
and while we could second guess anybody on that, a lot of people might
blow that off.
In the event, Parrot had nothing to do with the JFK murder. So if
Bush thought the fellow was a harmless blowhard, he was correct.

Yeah, right. The way Hosty assumed that Oswald was a blowhard. The way
the Secret Service assumed that Byke was a blowhard.

The allegation was not that he said the President should be shot.
The allegation was that he intended to shoot the President. Not the same
thing.

Maybe only because someone else got to the President first.

If Bush "thought the fellow was a blowhard" Bush would NOT have brought it
to the attention of the FBI.
It's what we call in the US the "Old Boy Network." One does not have to be
officially a CIA officer in order to assist in CIA operations. Sometimes
old fraternity chums will help each other out.
