Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy
W. W. Norton (2007)

Page 822 (of the endnotes on CD)

1351 Bill Turner: I got to know Bill Turner, a straight-arrow guy,
when I worked briefly with him in 1975 in Los Angeles on the
reinvestigation into the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy. Long
before the identity of "Deep Throat" surfaced in 2005, Bill was very
confident he knew who he was, someone he had worked under in the FBI's
Seattle office in the 1950s. Herb Caen reported in his inimitable
column
in the San Francisco Chronicle way back on February 13, 1978, "Ex-
FBIer
Bill Turner is certain that Watergate's 'Deep Throat' was former Asst.
FBI Dir. W. Mark Felt, who wanted Hoover's job."

If Mr. Bugliosi's work with Turner on the RFK case was brief
and limited to 1975, why did Turner and his partner Jonn G. Christian
address a letter to L.A. US Attorney Paul G. Flynn in Dec, 1978,
with a Bugloisi & Steinberg ("law offices of Vincent T. Bugliosi")
letterhead?

In their book, _The Assassination of Robert F. Kennedy_, WIlliam Turner
and Jonn Christian identify an L.A. hypnosis expert, William J. Bryan, as
a possible "programmer" of Sirhan Sirhan.

Bugliosi's law partner, Robert K. Steinberg, had been both a client of
and a lawyer to William Bryan.

The Los Angeles Times reported on April 23, 1968, page A8, that, in
connection with a murder trial:

"Dr. William Bryan was retained by defense attorneys Melvin Belli and
Robert K. Steinberg to assist them in selection of a jury which would not
be prejudiced against their client.

"The attorneys said Dr. Bryan is studing the prospective jurors to
determine if any of them have 'subconscious prejudices.' They said these
prejudices can be uncovered by a trained person."

On Dec 12, 1968, page B3, the Times reported that Robert K. Steinberg
had represented Bryan in a suit related to charges brought against Bryan
before the State Board of Medical Examiners.

So, it seems a bit ironic that Christian and Turner would have used
Steinberg & Bugliosi letterhead in correspondence related to their
interest in the RFK case.

Per the Christian/Turner book, he was a friend of
RFK's who was pushing for re-opening the
investigation into the assassination. They include
as an appendix a 1976(?) speech Vaughn gave at
a Bugliosi for DA campaign rally expressing the
belief that Bugliosi would go after the conspirators
in all the assassinations starting with RFK's
if he were elected DA. It's pretty hilarious.
