I don't grok the question.
Most works are like that. Especially any that are hight detail works
where using one fixed font will cause it to be top/bottom squished as
there is a lot of variablity in the hight of different fonts.
I have only done a few ascii works this year and not many last year

I hope not!
Maybe I should start doing some ASCII art.
Since now I have been using pen and paper and just liked to look at ASCII
art - or even better: true ASCII animation. ;-)
Do you remember the wonderful "Nerdboy" pieces by Joaquim? That at least
was a sign of ASCII life (at least in this newsgroup) not too long ago...

I remember the ascii zen masters.
Yes, I observed a certain degeneration into punkishness over the year.
Now it seems there is no longer are art happening.
The great ascii are questions have not been addressed.
For example, can anybody come up with a magnificent work using a only
a single prescribed variable font?
