Every now and then I try to find Joan. I miss having her around. She helped me get started when I was just beginning to make ASCII art.
I'm pretty sure she left because she got so discouraged by all the abuse of her work. She was quite upset about it all just before she disappeared. I think she is still around and probably still makes ASCII art when she feels like it. But she just keeps it to herself and shares very carefully now.

she still publishes new ASCIIs from time to time, mostly gif form ASCIIs now.
