The featured artists include
-Corliss Blakeley has a selection of oils and watercolors and will
introduce her miniatures, new small oil paintings with a brass easels.
- Bob Brodeur will display scenic photographs from Vermont.
- Barbara Colgrove's clayworks are sculpures in plates and wall
hangings.
- AAC member J.J. Dandurand passed away last year. The AAC is
sponsoring a special exhibit of his favorite oils.
- Mary Harper shows watercolors of sub-tropical Florida and the
American southwest.
- Patrice Havreluk-Hemingway shows pastel rural landscapes and
florals, and closeup portraits. Patrice will also demonstrate
Ukrainian egg painting throughout the show.
- John Lawyer's streamlined, abstract pieces use tremendous detail,
fine line work, geometric figures, and straight and wavy lines.
- Beth Maginn exhibits landscape pastels done on location, including
one painting completed in the Arts and Eats show at Hamlens.
- April Henderson takes photography to high art with landscapes,
animals and macro photography of flowers.
- David Juaire displays landscape photography, including some featured
in "VermontLife."
- Natalie LaRocque-Bouchard unveils a large new oil, an untitled dream
of the sky (Natalie says she will digitize one image of this painting
to add a Lear jet for her dad.)
- Richard Serpe uses pencil, scratchboard, pen and ink, and clay in
juxtapositions of nature and almost-recognizable man-made objects.
- Valerie Ugro shows landscape and architectural portraits, stained
glass panels and window accents.
- Sandra Vaillancourt brought very spiritual paintings, some mixed
media, and one unfinished piece.
There are three special focus tables. Several Northern Vermont
Artist Association members are showing mixed watercolors. The NVAA is
Vermont's oldest arts organization. Student artists from MVU and from
the St Albans School have current works on display. Newspaper
photographers from area papers are exhibiting photos that show more
than just the news.
Many of the works are available for sale. Ask the individual
artists for information or see any AAC member.
The All Arts exhibit at the Rotary Home Show opens Friday, March
13, 1p.m.-8p.m., and continues Saturday March 14, 9:30a.m.-8p.m., and
Sunday March 15, 10a.m.-4p.m.
