This simply has got to be a troll.

I guess Monet and Cezanne were hacks, too. Go ahead, say it; you know you
want to.

*** I find it ironic that you mentioned illiterates.
But besides that, the argument you have stated is one that comes with
a lack of understanding and knowledge of the artists or even a lack of
pathos for art in general. Sure any child could equal the later work of Picasso,
that was exactly what picasso was trying to achieve, the naturalness and
freedom of expression a child has before they are told how to draw
in a linear and unimaginative way. But years of work and experience,
clean draughtsmanship, strength of line, vision for colour, is something
that no child can have until they have sweated long and hard over
a passion that drives them to experiment and stretch the medium
to its boundaries.

My paintings were shown on Norfolk Television

There's an old story that when visiting an exhibition of children's drawings
Picasso said, " When I was their age, I could draw like Raphael, but it took
me a lifetime to learn to draw like them." I also heard an anecdote that
when one of Picasso's friends lost a painting (in a divorce, I think) by
another famous painting, Picasso told the friend not to worry because he
could faithfully reproduce the work from memory. Which, I think the story
goes, he did. Anyone who can verify that anecdote would earn my deepest
gratitude.

Having read your posts to this newsgroup, I disrespectfully disagree. Your

you're a troll, albeit a somewhat amusing one.

I've got a couple friends over at WVU. I think I'll call them and check up
on this "Creative Artist" title they're handing out these days. Ought to be
good for a few laughs.

I painted from memory a book titled " Childhood Revisted" scenes of what it was
like to grow up in my home town of Conneaut,Ohio during the Roaring 1920s and
Depression 1930s and wrote the story that went with this book--I had the
paintings photoed 9x11 inches at a very expensive cost--because the Chamber Of
Commerce wanted a copy to put in thier
office for public viewing--received very
nice comments by locals and the Chamber Director.Graduated from CHS in June

I notice that for such a talented "creative artist" all your fame comes via
vanity publishing and local access. Do you think when Picasso's Chamber of
Commerce wanted one of his paintings they made him pay for the reproduction?

Hmmm. Your message gave JR Sherman some ideas. It's good to know that he's

few weeks has got him feeling left out. The poor man.

Hey, JR. If you're reading this (and we know you are), don't put yourself

I know, I know. But to me Michael Cook is just as pathetic as JR Sherman and
a few others here who spend all day on their computers trying to get what
they feel is one step ahead of people like Chuck and Candice. It's nice to
find someone who doesn't go along with all that. Me, I find it hard to laugh
at pathetic people. Which is why it's getting harder to make fun of Gigi.
His pathetic attempts to interfere with my life simply because I'm posting
messages in "his" newsgroup. No job, a diminishing audience. I really do
believe this group is all he has in life.

As for Chuck, I never agreed with a lot of the things he's done here. But
rather than leave him alone to disappear (or to recreate himself into a
better person), the "regulars" just keep fueling him.

Reminds me a little of Sharon McElroy. I don't know if you were posting here
at the time, but she was just some woman who wrote bad poetry and posted it
in a few newsgroups. Then along came Gigi and Joy and JR to ridicule here
out of Usenet. The fact that Jim Sheard has a link on his AAPC site to Joy's
"Nude Whirl of Poultry" site and defends it as "literary parody" shows me
what he's really all about. Sharon McElroy never bothered anyone. She just
wrote bad poetry. If everyone would have ignored her, she would have
disappeared. But some people take too much delight in ridicule.

I wonder, would Sophie, Peter and all the other followers here be so vicious
in real life? I'm no saint, mind you. But I try not to say anything here
that I wouldn't say to someone in person. I doubt the same can be said for
Michael Cook and JR Sherman. In that respect, I think Chuck is better than
both of him. I suspect, right or wrong, he says whatever he wants in real
life.

One question, Paul (and anyone else wants to answer): Did you find it just a
little pathetic that Jim Sheard took the time to count up a week's worth a
posts and catagorize them to show that poetry is still the main topic here?

Paul Heslop

Politics eh? I find the whole thing pathetic, as in i don't hold truck
with the 'Let's kick the little guy while he's down' mentality. I don't
see what good any of it does. The very fact that the AUP is shoved down
people's throats as an answer when you query the viciousness of some
attacks...well, it's mass bullying. I went through all this not that
long ago, but I got fed up with Chuck's stupid racist tactics as much as
Sherman's egotism and as for Garry, well, his opinions aren't worth
spit.
It would be great if we could all just come on here and have a go,
without the gang attacks, but every playground has it's gang of bullies,
doesn't it.
I have never liked the excuse "The rules say i can do this so I will"
but my response is now, I post, fuck them.
Problem is if you spend all your time arguing with them you don't get
anything else done then you get as bad as them. I found myself spitting
nails with the pettiness of it all.

Crybaby.

Wrong again, chuck lights all his own fires, he gathers his own wood.

Get over it, move on. I hate a whiney person.

You know me, have we meet? Actually I probably wouldn't have much to say to
a person like you as I do not care for the company of well; people such as
yourself

Well, it wasn't insincere. But people like you, Basil and a few others do
give me a reason to continue reading this group.

Gracias.

Feel better now, Farmington? What's funny to me is that, were I to extend
you the same invitation that Chuck did, you'd invite me to watch a Lion's
game. (I'm sure that sounds familiar.)

The difference is that I'm just a few miles away. So if you ever feel the
need to do more than post these brave little comebacks, let me know. It's
safer, I know, calling people names in a newsgroup. But it can't be very
satisfying.

I won't hold my breath.

You're responding to an 18-year old post, numbskull.

Get a life.
