I might well, James, pretty cool. The actual image size may be a
little on the small size for web viewing, specially when there's a lot
of detail. Maybe a link to larger version for someone who wants to see
the detail? Otherwise, yep, nice stuff.

You are obviously quite competent. Very dynamic use of composition,
shape, color, values and balance. Professional art throughout.

Even more important is the GREAT Graphic Design of your website! (but
let's not waste time about that--I would have never showed up if this
were alt.graphic.design.comments)

If you've no poems to present , why don't we discuss your artwork?

I'm not a fan of surrealism, not Dali and not Miro.

What are your desires and goals in painting (et al) surrealistic works?

Let's take "The Neurochasm" as a starting point.

Metal like vines growing in a cavernous brain--a powerful image,
powerfully rendered. The feelings evoked by the dynamics of the space
are enhanced immeasurably by the pin point direct light and focal point
(off center right and high, which also serves to make the composition
more dynamic still). The rhythm of the undulating vines almost make
them seem moving to the eye, though one's intellect tells one they are
static.

But Neurochasm fails me, in that it fails to draw me into the
communication. Which is quite usual for me when viewing surrealism.

So I'd be very interested if you could and would describe for us what
your goals were? And therefore what choices you made to reach this
final product? And how you feel about the affect and message.

Personally, I think the message was successfully sent and received, but
I don't agree with it, or, more correctly, I'm not persuaded by it.

And for Dali, for instance, persuasion is a key to his art form.

Clearly, you haven't yet met Dale Houstman.
