Re: Burlington Paintings, ArtonAir.com Launch

Live Broadcast; Monday 18th October at 5.00pm

Please find below details of our first online exhibition, which we believe
represents a breakthrough in art online. Moving away from the trend of
online auction sites, this format allows the client to interact with the
artist and dealer and in doing so ensures that the personal contact so
fundamental to a gallery remains an integral part of our presence on the
Web.

If you would like to see transparencies of any of the paintings, or would
like to see a demonstration of the live broadcast, please do not hesitate to
contact me.

Yours sincerely

Lucinda Muschialli

LARRY NORTON WILD CATS OF

AFRICA & ASIA

PRESS RELEASE

It is with great excitement that Burlington Paintings announce their first
On-Line Exhibition, to be transmitted to hundreds of people live via the
Internet. This represents the launch of ArtonAir.com, the result of three
years of Internet development from Art Connection in conjunction with
burlington.co.uk. The renowned African wildlife artist Larry Norton will
present an exhibition of ten spectacular paintings broadcast live on our
website. The real time chat room, hosted by Burlington Paintings, will allow
visitors to interact personally with the artist and the video will allow
them to see the artist talk in detail about each painting. Frame per second
video will allow the highest resolution of images whilst being seen
alongside detailed jpeg images of the paintings. Further, viewers will have
the opportunity to purchase the paintings on-line or buy a limited edition
print of "An African Moment" (Lioness and Cubs), for which there will be the
opportunity to make a secure credit card transaction. This innovative
exhibition features a breakthrough in art on-line, and is to be filmed by
CNN to be shown in their Arts Club slot on the evening of Saturday 23rd
October.

About the Artist and Charity Piece

Larry Norton was born in Zimbabwe in 1963. In 1988 he began a professional
painting career and has since exhibited around the world, including several
enormously successful exhibitions in New York and London. In 1989, Larry
Norton received the Catasus Medal, the Society of Animal Artists’ most
prestigious award. He was also the winner of the Safari Club International
inaugural art show in 1990 and in 1997 Larry was awarded the Activities
Press Print Award by the Society of Animal Artists, Ohio, USA. Larry first
exhibited with Burlington Paintings in 1989 and has subsequently held four
more exhibitions including a one-man show in 1998.

Larry continues to live and work in Zimbabwe where he is actively involved
in wildlife preservation, supporting many charities. Indeed sales of his
paintings and prints have contributed significantly to conservation both in
Africa and Abroad. For his ‘Cats of Africa and Asia’ Exhibition, Larry has
also dedicated a charity piece ‘Stripes’, for sale by silent auction to
which all proceeds will go to the charity ‘The International Trust for
Nature Conservation’. Participants of the live exhibition will be able to
bid on-line for this painting. The show features ten paintings of African
and Asian cats: Leopard, Tiger, Lion, Lioness, Cheetah and Snow Leopard, and
hopes to bring the public’s attention the beauty and fragility of these
animals. We realise that demand for these paintings will be high and
therefore Larry is also prepared to accept commissions.
