This post is to call your attention to Connecticut artist Jennifer MacNeill.
Jennifer MacNeill was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in the small
shore line community of Old Lyme, Connecticut where she attended Old Lyme
high school. Gifted with a lyrical style, it was here that Jennifer had her
first poem professionally published at the age of fourteen. Growing up
against the back-drop of the former artist colony instilled in her a sense
of beauty and a unique way of looking at the world. Vibrant colors are part
of her unique trade mark in the oil medium. Drawing upon the images which
surround her, Jennifer captures their essence with bold expressionist color
and adds an ethereal flare through her use of light and shadow. There are no
prints or reproductions available on her web site, all works are one-of-kind
original oil paintings.
