There is a 24 by 48 oil on canvas seascape, painted at LaJolla, CA, by James
Peter Cost, circa 1964, for sale by current owner through eBay

1949 It was framed by the artist (31 by 53). Painting is in pristine
condition. Signed in brush in lower right corner. Untitled and undated.
James Peter Cost is listed in Samuels' Contemporary Western Artists,
Bowker's Who's Who in American Art, Cattell's Who's Who in American Art and
Marquis' Who's Who in American Art. Cost won the Franklin Mint Gold Medal
for Distinguished Seascapes in 1975. He has works in the permanent
collections of RW Norton Museum, Shreveport, MA, and the Monterey Museum of
Art, Monterey, CA, and the Readers Digest Collection. This painting was
appraised by Edward N. Okil, National Institute of Appraisers, Los Angeles,
in July, 2000, at a fair market value of $16,000.
