I am an artist and a geneticist. Images in the laboratory and the world
around me inspire the shapes in my abstract oil paintings. I am Ph.D.
candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My website includes an
art gallery featuring my abstract oil paintings. I am looking for comments
and criticism of my artwork. There is also a guestbook to sign in the
virtual gallery to make this process easier. Thank you!

Your "Center of the Earth" is an interesting composition. There's just
enough sense of orange to make the blue stand out, and the simple leaf
shape and dot create a working assymmetrical picture balance drawing
attention away from the mass.

I personally would like it better turned upside down. The heavy mass at
the bottom creates solidity...again something you may have wanted or
something seated within yourself..but turned upside down, it creates
more tension and dynamics. Just my opinion. I like this image though
perhaps more than your others. Seems more of yourself and thought may
have gone into this one...don't know. Keep it up!!

peace...
