I have a large framed print that has been in the family for at least 25
years, maybe even 35 or more. I'm hoping someone can tell me more about
it. I've tried searching the web and don't find anything that looks
like it. It measures 29 inches wide by 23 inches tall, visible in the
frame, so it's probably a little bigger than that, maybe 30 by 24? It
is a still life painting of a glass vase with white peonies and some
other white flower drooping out of the vase, with a glass bowl of
flowers to the right on the 'table top' and some scattered petals. It's
signed "Macdonald -" (the name spelled that way with the 'd' not
capitalized, and there's a solid dash, about an inch long, after it) in
the lower left corner. The vase of flowers takes up most of the image.
The colors are greens, whites, creams, and a touch of pink in the
center of the peonies. I could email a .jpg to anyone who might know
more about it. It was my grandmother's, and hung over her sofa for as
long as I can remember. I'd like to know more about the artist. Thank
you.
