I've been painting in acrylics for a couple of years and suddenly decided
I needed to try a watercolor piece.
So I read that you get brown paper gum tape and stick your paper to a board.
Fine.
I did.
I painted.
Now....
How do you get the brown paper OFF the watercolor paper??????
Sorry to be such an idiot! :-(
Your help greatly appreciated!! :-)

Depending on the weight of the paper and whether you need to stretch it or
not it is not necessary to use brown paper tape. Use masking tape, tacks
or even paint on watercolor block. If you use a heavyweight paper it is
not necessary to so anything as it will not buckle. Removing tape that has
been on for a while can be difficult. I have had some success with
dampening the tape. Other times I have just matted over the edges where
the tape did any paper damage.
