Mystic Birds - This canvas is a 24" x 36" oil painting by Haitian artist Michel
Daniel Louis. This artist is both a painter and Vodou drummer, and was
recently featured in AYIZAN. Michel Daniel Louis paints from his experiences
in Haiti and in Senegal. His style is rich, saturated with color and filled
with movement. These forest birds emerge from the night to flash their
beautifully detailed plumage at the viewer. A wonderful painting for a
cosmopolitan living room or a child's bedroom. This noted Haitian artist has
exhibited at the Hotel Oloffson and other Port-au-Prince galleries, and is
currently working in the expatriate community of Boston.
