The Wonderful World of Animation is pleased to announce a special opportunity
to view and obtain animation art pieces from the collection of Steve Ison.
Mr. Ison has been collecting animation art for the last 15 years, during
which time he has had the opportunity to acquire some fantastic pieces, most
directly from the animators themselves. He is currently in the process of
redefining his collection to primarily focus upon art from Disney's first
feature length film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Over the years, his
collection has been steadily moving towards this film, and has recently been
the subject of the book "Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: An
Art in Its Making".

There comes a time when most collectors reassess the direction of their
collections. Steve is in the process of concentrating on the Snow White
master backgrounds, and the cels, drawings, and concept art which most
complement these grounds. As a result, we are excited to be offering on his
behalf some wonderful pieces which no longer coincide with this goal. For
example, Steve is making available some gorgeous Fantasia pastel concept
pieces. As serious collectors already know, the concept art is getting harder
and harder to find as pieces are increasingly finding their way into private
collections where they remain unavailable to the public. There are some
beautiful pieces from the Mushroom Dancers segment of the Nutcracker Suite,
the Thistle Dancers, a jovial Bacchus, and five related pieces from the Ave
Maria scene. Also available is a gorgeous rare pastel drawing of Morpheus.
Collectors will also be excited to see some terrific early Snow White pieces
including drawings of the castle, preliminary dwarf art, as well as some
beautiful Freddie Moore roughs.

Steve has also made available a number of cels and drawings of some minor
characters which offer collectors a wonderful affordable opportunity to own
original art from Snow White. For the price of a few sericels, collectors can
own one of a kind production drawings from 1937. Also, for under US$1500,
collectors can purchase original Courvoisier set-ups of some of the whimsical
animals. Some of these pieces are made even more special by being featured in
the above-mentioned Snow White book.

We also have available some terrific and hard-to-find Dr. Seuss pieces, as
well as some early Warner masters and concept art which were acquired
directly from the Maurice Noble collection.

I personally view this art as a great opportunity for collectors to see a lot
of unusual art that is not often available for view at one time in one place.
Please visit our site and use this as an opportunity to further your
animation collecting education - you just might find something wonderful to
add to your collection as well! http://www.animationartgallery.com
