I just had a pastel drawing of my two daughters drawn for my wife as a
Christmas present. It turned out beautifully, and now we are in the
process of deciding where to hang it. I would like to hang it above our
gas fireplace downstairs, but I'm worried that the heat rising up the
wall may eventually damage the artwork.

Does anyone know if this may be a problem or not? The artist sprayed the
portrait with a laquer to preserve it before giving it to me. The
portrait is framed and double matted behind glass. I'm also wondering if
the heat may eventually crack the glass?

If anyone can offer any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. If
possible, please cc a copy of your post to: paul.g...@mindless.com

Thanks again,
Paul
