Hi,

I know there is a longstanding debate on whether Kinkade paintings are art.
I am not here to debate if it is ART or NOT ART, I just want some guidance
on where to sell a Kinkade painting.

Not trying to list this painting here for sale - looking for advice on where
best to sell a Kinkade painting.

It is a 1998 painting called Gardens Beyond Spring Gate.

Authenticated, certificate, 1 of 10 that had custom "remarques" drawn by
Kinkade, so this one is rather unique. Only 240 of this particular one were
made. I have been asked by the owner to broker the sale, but I am not sure
if eBay is the best place.

Are there other online places to sell something like this?

Thanks!

Hi,
I don't know of any debate about the artist Kinkade, and don't really know
his art.
But, why use eBay? If it were me I'd find a good auctionhouse that is both
online but do the auction itself like Christie's.
I have no idea where you live, but a google search could help you.

Good luck,
Sørensen

[Christie's? They'll laugh you outta the place... If there were 240 of them
made, it's not a "painting", it's a "print". There's someone on Ebay right
now trying to sell one for $2995, but no takers (I wonder why). The "custom
remarque" is a marqueting gimmick; it doesn't make it unique. ("Rather
unique" is an oxymoron- it is or it ain't.)]

I didn't say Christies, I said _like_ Christies....
Again, I have never ever heard of Kinkade, so I have no idea about the
prices...
