Need help finding the artist for a particular painting.

I am new to this group so I dont know if it is appropriate to ask for
this kind of help here. If there is a more appropriate group, please
let me know what it is.

Here is my problem. I have a wonderful poster that I like very much
and I know the name of it, but not who the artist is. The title for
the poster is "Silences", but a Google search does not help me find
the artist's name. I dont know whether this poster is from an
original painting or not. I am not too familiar with art/paintings
etc, but I would love to find out the artist as I would like to see
more of his/her works. Are there websites I have missed or is there
anything else I can do to find the artist? I bought the poster in
Berkeley, California many years ago and I was even able to find their
website, but their current listing of posters did not include the work
that I am looking for. I even emailed them for help, but received no
reply.

The poster depicts stairs leading up to a chair by a swimming pool
with a palm tree in the background. I believe the artist's last name
begins with a "C", but I could be wrong. The word "silences" appears
across the bottom of the poster.
