S. Africa Boer War oil painting ca. 1900

This original oil painting is titled "Surrender at Paardeberg." The size
(unframed, on original stretcher) is 11.5" x 19.5" and it is signed and
dated on the lower right, "J. Taylor 1900." Written on the reverse:
"Cronyie's Pom Pom Gun taken on his surrender at Paardeberg Feb. 27,
1900. Fires 3000 yds. 300 1 lb. shots a minute. J. Taylor" A rare and
important historical painting, in very good original condition, needing
cleaning and some minor restoration. I will email closeup photos of the
signature and inscription on reverse if interested. It is offered on
eBay with a substantial reserve. Next step, if I don't find interest on
eBay, will be to consign it to an auction in the UK.
