Gabrielle's favourite subjects are mainly strangely shaped and scary
dolls on abstract backgrounds, painted using sharp and bright acrylic
colors. The style of her paintings can be considered pop naive and is
reminescent of african and south american tribal art. But Gabrielle's
paintings are above all part of an elaborate ritual in a sort of
propitiatory and thaumaturgic art. Each painting is inspired by a
different human case: Gabrielle paints trying to translate in images
different problems in the life of friends or people around her who
needs help. At the end of a complex artistic process, the painted
image remains like a record of a past event, the memory of a pain
that, if shared with the entire mankind can carry joy and hope.
