I am posting this inquiry to help a friend who has an oil painting
which has been in his family for many years. This oil painting is
approximately 3' x 2' and features an older lady who is crossing a
bridge. It is a Winter scene. The artist's name is Mrs. Swift. This
painting won first prize at the Chicago World Fair (I assume that to
be 1893). Should you have any information that may shed some light on
