I have a textured print of a landscape signed just "WEBER" in all caps, and
I'd like to know more about the artist. It's a scene that appears European,
in flat country in the summertime. There's a large, thatched and plaster
house in the middle ground, with some large buildings (nearby town?) in the
background. There's a large stream in the foreground with a wooden bridge
and a sturdy woman with some geese at its bank near the house. The style is
vaguely impressionist, with coarse brushstrokes, suggesting it was painted
after the 1880s or so.
It was purchased at a garage sale and no other information is available
about it. Searches on Google result in artists whose work doesn't resemble
this at all.
Has anyone an idea who the artist might be?
