Wednesday, May 30, 9:00pm - Exhibit's opening with the artist

====================================

An absolute Italian premiere for Paul Whitehead, cover artist for Genesis, Van
Der Graaf Generator and illustrator for some of the most legendary rock bands
ever like Pink Floyd, Renaissance, The Yardbirds and more.

For the first time in Italy, and the first time in Europe since 1974, Paul
Whitehead presents an exhibit featuring about fifty of his oil paintings,
including record covers and illustrations.

The exhibit is fully sponsored by Enrico Salvini/Red Sector Art
(www.redsectorart.com) and co-organized with Arteutopia Galleria and Fondazione
Arte e Civiltà's collaboration.

At the exhibit, fathers in their fifties and sons in their twenties (together
with a sizable crowd of in-betweeners) will respectively re-discover and
discover the other side of rock's image, along with a lesser known -but equally
fascinating- facet of Whitehead's work: in fact, if the focal point of this
event will be the legendary "Trespass", "Foxtrot" and "Nursery Cryme" covers,
the "Astrological Signs" and "Angels and Spirits" series will be at hand, with a
number of illustrations from the "The Grippity Groo" children book and various
other works.

====================================

Paul Whitehead's exhibit in Milano will host the exclusive worldwide preview of
"The Grippity Groo", a children book by writer Bart E. Plaskoff and Illustrated
by Paul himself.
Things are being arranged to possibly have Peter Hammill's book readings tapes
at the exhibit.

The Adapt-A-Book Children’s Series addresses the need for Assistive and Adaptive
Technology for those children who cannot see, hear or are physically or mentally
challenged. Books are CD-sized to encourage portability and contain a positive
message and non-threatening learning environment for children and adults alike.
The books are also technologically enhanced, containing Braille, and an
Interactive CD-ROM, which incorporates various treatments of the story
including: audio (as read and performed by various theatrical and musical
talents within the Entertainment Community), visual sign language, a supporting
website and animated read-alongs.

"The Grippity Groo" is the first book in the Adapt-A-Book Series. It is a
wonderfully colorful children's story written by Bart E. Plaskoff, which
addresses a little boy's temper tantrum, and his realization that it is, in fact
he who is the real "Grippity Groo". We are proud to announce our first musical
guest to lend his wonderfully animated and
charismatic voice: world renown, British artist, Peter Hammill (formerly of the
1970’s progressive rock band, Van Der Graaf Generator).

About the Artist

Most people may know Paul Whitehead as "That guy who did the Genesis album
covers." But what they don't know is that Paul Whitehead's works are sought out
by art collectors worldwide.
Paul has designed and overseen production of over 165 record covers and
associated promotional materials for some of Europe's most prominent rock bands.
Besides Genesis, he has done work for Renaissance, The Yardbirds, Pink Floyd,
Mott The Hoople, Peter Hammill, Tom Fogerty, and Van Der Graaf Generator...to
name a few.

Mr. Whitehead has also produced artwork for licensed printed products for such
blockbuster movies as "Batman", "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "New
Kids on the Block," and various Disney "Classic Character" properties.
Currently, Paul Whitehead resides in Los Angeles, and is still showing his work
at many Galleries. He continues to produce commissioned artwork for private
collectors and, after many years he is making available some of his most
prominent and popular works as limited editions which are signed and numbered by
the artist.

You may also purchase some of your favorites and even inquire about
commissioning the artist to paint you an original oil of your very own!

We're looking forward to meet you at the exhibit!
