I'm a Portrait Artist with a New Website and Low prices

Hellow, I am Terrissa. I am Texas Tech Art Graduate trying to pursue
my passion full time. Right now, I am starting by drawing and
painting portraits from personal photographs. I'm new to the
marketplace but I think my prices are reasonalbe. Looking for other
artist to give me feedback, tips or suggestions. Thank you for your

What a lovely variation on the name btw.
Some of your images are not showing up. Be aware of your file extensions
in your HTML. There's a difference between "jpg" and "JPG". Just maybe
the difference of your images being seen and not seen.

I didn't see them in Netscape but I see all images in Explorer just fine.

some nice work there Terrissa. Your prices seem pretty reasonable to me too.
My only suggestion on the site though, is try smaller thumbnails (and
compress them file size, better). Even on my cable modem it took about 40+
seconds to load the page!

Hey Terrissa,

The problem in Netscape is that you've left spaces in some of your
filenames. The images need to be one contiguous name. For example "mister
and missus.jpg" will NOT show up since the browser stops at the space and
looks for a file called 'mister'. The name "mister_and_missus.jpg" or
"misterandmissus.jpg" or "mister-and-missus.jpg" would work.
"mister.and.missus.jpg" will NOT work because the browser will look for
something with the extension '.and'

Computers is so stupid :)P

That all said, lovely work! And I think your prices are probably too low,
but if you're happy then why quibble? :)

I think some of your work is a bit 'flat' but that's what can happen when
working from photographs. Flashes tend to kill shadows which model the
form, so you have to work harder to compensate. Do you ever do reference
sketches from your live customers or is it all entirely from photos?
