Rick De Coyte of Silicon Gallery along with a small team of academics,
artists and print makers have put together a distance learning course for
computer art.
This course introduces students to the use of computer technology in art
production. It will contextualize computer art in terms of its relation to
traditional art, offer a brief history of computer art and its origins,
examine and critique computer art that exists on the Internet, and examine
and introduce the tools used to create and produce art in a digital
environment.
This course was conceived in conjunction with a leading post graduate art
college and may be eventually offered as an accredited course.
We are offering a 14 week program starting September 28
