Looking for the best prices on professional grade artist's supplies.
I'm mostly interested in unprimed linen canvas, oil paint, and
Chungking bristle brushes. I spent the last two days looking throught
the internet and found an almost overwhelming amount of suppliers and
products. I guess, if anyone wants to throw out the paints and/or
brushes that they support, I would love your insight.

Thanks.

Tym

Hey thanks,

That forum is amazing, it'll keep me less bored for a long while. And
informed as well. It's a literal goldmine.

As to the other two links, I just don't think my paint requirements
are that refined yet. I've only been truly painting for about 6
months now - looking at prices now - no money.

And finally, there are just too many Shylocks lurking on these boards,
I figured I ought to give them their fair warning.

response. You will progress much more quickly if you use good supplies.
You may not want to begin by grinding your own pigments, but at least invest
in good brushes, learn to stretch and prepare your own canvas grounds and
buy the best pigments you can afford. They handle better and you can focus
on creating, not fighting with your tools.

Cinnini forums will give you the opportunity to ask about drawing and
painting techniques as well as the best materials you can afford. The most
expensive are not always the best.

There is someone posting on that site that grinds proprietary pigments and
sells the stuff for less than a tube of Old Holland. Prick thine ears
