Looking for any info. on Henry Callan

I am desperately seeking information on an artist, most likely European,
named Henry Callan. We have an oil painting of his that is a rider
standing by a horse. It is a magnificent painting, but we can't seem to
find out anything about this artist. Please respond if you have
information on him, or where else I should look.
