Dear Dom,

Sounds nice but some friends who were posted in Sicily said that there
were these rains that rained mud because of some indigenous weather
system that carried African dirt and clay into the atmosphere and dumped
it on that part of Sicily.  Is this the case with your property, and if
so, is it seasonal, how long are such rains and are such rains
beneficial to your fruit trees or not?

Your property sounds like a frutitarian paradise.  Could you describe
the house? This is, after all, the architectural newsgroup that you are
posting on, not alt.growyerownfruit.
