Anonymous, Usenet, alt. anonymous and alt.binaries.anonymous

The global and amorphous "hacker collective" Anonymous should of
course use Usenet and in particular this group as one of their public
venues.

One of the more credible activities that Anonymous gets into is
hacking and doc-dumping horribly revealing and/or embarassing files in
what might be called "Operation Sunlight".

Usenet of course is a superb place to dump files.

I see some such binary posting here, but am under the impression that
binaries should generally be restricted to the alt.binaries.*
hierarchy, and that indeed many Usenet servers/routers might drop
binary posting to non-ab* groups.

There doesn't seem to be an alt.binaries.anonymous.

One seems needed.

years ago a lot of binaries did make it to normal ng's, but the
filters were sorted out and that sorted that out. lots of imflamatory
gifs where posted to target ng's back in the 90's, like afn, where all
regs picks were defaced.

i'd never thought about it, but yes, there should be an
alt.binaries.anonymous we need someone like steve leyland to newgroup
it.
