The GAC/TTTP Forums are closing after this weekend. As such, this is one
possible place where people can go afterward. There is no consensus for
a rally point, but it might make this place more friendly seeming if
there is at least one current thread.

It'd be nice to revive this old newsgroup, Ted, but I suspect many of the
active newer participants there haven't the foggiest idea what Usenet is.

They don't need to know what Usenet is; Google Groups provides a web
based interface for them. It's Google's payment for otherwise screwing
up Deja.
The winds don't seem to be blowing this way, but the group does have the
benefit of long existence and ease of Google access...
(While a longtime usenet user, I did not use the classic animation
aspects of usenet in the past myself)

There was a lot of good discussion here at one time, but the newsgroup is
now emptier than a Maurice Noble desert. People have moved on. Usenet's days
are pretty much done.
