It is an archive of pictures of animals. It includes many of the pictures
that have been posted over the years to the newsgroup listed above. It
indicates over 17000 pictures of animals, and offers a search engine to go
through the database and produces an image index of pictures of hits made
on your search. You can then choose to view the actual pictures of interest
to you.
I tried cat and got 1024 hits. Some are not what I wanted (ie domestiCATed
Yak or CATch1, etc), but most were cats including some lynx cats and bobcats
but mainly domesticated cats.
Take a look. I think you will find it interesting. I haven't had time to
completely check the site out completely, but there appears to be some other
interesting features worth exploring.
It is currently at http://bioinfo.kordic.re.kr/animal until July 15, 1999.
The site indicates it will be moving to http://www.best5.net/animal .
Enjoy

Just one thing: Billy hurt his leg badly last summer and had to keep a
cast for over a month. When they took the cast off, his leg was weak nd
he was still favoring him. No physiotherapists for cats, I'm afraid. So
we gave him painkillers and we decided to give him something to chase.
So I bought a laser pointer and made him chase the little red light.
First on the floor, slowly, along the corridor. Then higher and higher
on the wall to make him jump. the vet thought he'd always have a weak
leg. So far (touch wood), he's regained all his strengand walks
normally. Laser pointers are great but be careful not to point them at
your cat's eyes (you'd make him blind)

Tikka uses the toilet? No foolin'? Did you train her to do that? If so,
what technique(s) did you use. I am only familiar with one way, the "raise
the litterbox gradually" method. I'm interested in my female Daphne gaining
this independence, but we haven't the extra toilet needed to accomplish
this.
Please let me know,
Thanks,
C Gearhart

My roommate's (roomate's?) cat somehow broke her leg and had to get a cast.
Dang thing dragged it around for a month without even seeming to realize it.
It didn't slow her down a bit.
One day I came home and saw my youngest kitty, Bob, playing with something,
when I got closer, I realized it was the cast! Gave me a fright for a
minute, thinking it was a cast with a leg in it (you have to know Bob!).
Sure enough, there is Sophie, fine and dandy walking around like nothing
happened. I figure they decided that Sophie didn't want to go to the vet
again and asked Bob for some help.

Do your cats write mystery books, too? We have a couple of felines in the
U.S. who are famous sleuths. <g>

My cats read, too. When I spread out my newspaper on the floor, they always
know exactly which article I am reading -- then they sit right on top of it,
to remind me that my undivided attention should be on them!
(I think they send e-mail, too -- but to other cats.)
