Cause this group is for conversations and other text info exchange only,
it's not a binary one. Sending one picture would be equal to sending
about 50 messages, while server's space is not unlimited. Means, that
picture will, most likely, lead to the expiration of those 50 messages.
And if it will be 2 pictures, 10?.. It's what binary newsgroups for.
Dolphins' pics sometimes appear on the alt.binaries.pictures.animals
newsgroup. Not to say that there are tons of them on the web pages all
around the world (even I have some, too). :)

Hope, this helps!

Dolphin.

Because this is a discussion group. Check out alt.binaries.pictures.animals
or the various web pages referenced here for pictures.

Shark Bay Australia?

A close encounter with wild common dolphins off the New Zealand coast has
become a bit of a favourite venue for many visitors to the area.

The Bay of Plenty is a common breeding ground for dolphins of several
species, orca, various pilot whales, pseudorca, beaked whales and several
species of Great whales.

Access is restricted to commercial operators holding a department of
conservation permit and their methods are monitored very closely.

It is generally accepted that the dolphins are in good hands. Feeding or
using any other attractants is strictly forbidden. There are restrictions
of the number of people in the water at any time. Vessel speed is no wake
within 200 metres of any dolphins.

I have been operating commercially in this area for 12 years. The
guidelines on board my vessel are very strict. The welfare of the dolphins
is never compromised by the desire of passengers to 'get close'. Every
encounter is dolphin initiated and they leave when they want.

Many of the dolphins have been visiting the boat over a period of years and
are quite familiar and apparently happy to interact with us.

I think it is a wonderful thing to be able to show people large animals such
as dolphins, orca and whales without interfering with the free passage of
their lives.

we do have some extraordinary events and encounters.

Cheers.

No Sea world is not a place where one swims with dolphins, it is a place
where one can taunt captive animals.
