In a recent survey held in Germany, given a choice between the two
candidates, a huge majority of 85% preferred Obama, while only 4% would
have voted for Romney. See the first of the three pie charts at

(Btw., other weird or not really helpful endorsements can be found at

)

Whatever the reasons for this success, it makes Obama look like one of
our most beloved Americans, right up there with Morgan Freeman, David
Hasselhoff and Ed O'Neill. :-) Or more seriously, it might indicate
distrust against Romney more than confidence in Obama. So finally:

Germany loves President Obama = Romney's best plan ever: "I am a god"

Um, Obama is the one that was nicknamed "the annointed one". But other
than that, it's a nifty anagram.

Thanks, Jon. I'd have preferred a more meaningful anagram, too, but like
so often, I gave up and posted the first thing that was at least fluent
speech.

I just looked at the letters again, and I realized that
Germany loves ~ gnome slavery.

Now this is something meaningful at last :-), because it clearly refers
to the legend of the Heinzelmännchen - little gnomes that used to do
household chores for the citizens of Cologne.
