Subject: Newspaper Interviews Robert Stanley. Dec. 13, 2006.

Here is something that was said in an interview with Robert Stanley.
One of the odd things about Robert Stanley is that is I think the
same name of the newsperson who interviewed Dr. Livingston in Africa
many years. I believe that Robert Stanley was famous for making the
statement, "Dr. Linvingston I persume"?

Torrance author sets out his case that not only are UFOs here, but that
they seem to be flying around Washington, D.C.
By Melissa Heckscher
DAILY BREEZE

Sitting in front of his computer inside the cozy pastel-colored house
he shares with his wife and 11-year-old son, Torrance resident Robert
Stanley looks surefootedly straight-faced as he points to a photo of a
blurry blue blip in the night sky above the Capitol building in Washington,
D.C. "You might look at this and say, 'Well this is real grainy. That's
just a little blue dot, what does that have to do with anything?' " Stanley
said, looking at the little blue dot in question, a hazy orb hovering near
the illuminated white rooftop. "But when you get close up on the blue thing,
you actually see that it's a sphere, and it's in motion."
Call him crazy, he doesn't care. He believes the "sphere" in the
photograph the little blue dot most people would chalk up to some kind
of camera error is a UFO. He doesn't know where it came from (other than,
maybe, a galaxy far, far away), but he believes it's real. "Even if the
pres-dent said, 'I saw a UFO landing out in front of my White House,'
people are not going to accept it," he says. "They want to see it for
themselves to believe it." In lieu of seeing-and-believing, Stanley is
hoping his book, Close Encounters on Capitol Hill, a hulking 416-page tome
of unbroken text, will convince them that not only are there such things
as UFOs, but that there has been a veritable swarm of them around the
nation's capital for at least 50 years.
The book is available only on Stanley's Web site. "I was skeptical about
all of this," he said, adding that seeing anything in the skies above the
Capitol is noteworthy given that it is restricted airspace. "But the more
I looked into it, into the credibility of the photographers, it proves
quite conclusively that something is going on in D.C. that is being
ignored by the media." He knows people might question his credibility and,
more importantly, his sanity. But he's done his research using accounts
from more than 200 alleged eyewitnesses and an assortment of photographic
evidence, including an image he said was taken by a former ABC News
photographer who spent eight years assigned to the White House.
According to Stanley, Washington, D.C., has the highest rate of UFO
sightings in the world. Beginning with the first crop of unidentifiable
spheres seen above Capitol Hill in 1952, his book chronicles the
experiences and opinions of numerous UFO investigators and retired
mil-tary officials, among them Air Force Col. Wendelle Ste-ens, a fighter
pilot who became a UFO investigator after retiring from the mil-tary. "I
recall a fighter intercept where two jets were vectored in on a formation
of five or six illuminated spheres that were zipping around the Capitol
area," S-evens says in the book. "The UFOs evaded the jets every time."
Stanley has been interested in UFOs since he was a young child, when his
uncle showed him a picture of a spherical silver disk appearing to sink
vertically into a California desert.
Growing up in Malibu, the son of an ordained Self-Realization Fel-owship
minister, Stanley said he believes in G-d, but that such faith doesn't
nullify the search for extraterrestrial life. "If Go- created this world
with life" he said, "then why couldn't he create other worlds with life?"
After graduating from Santa Monica College, Stanley worked in the emerging
technologies department at Honda Motor Co. After retiring from the job in
2003, he began working as editor of Unicus, a magazine published by his
wife, Irene Chen, whom Stanley met at a UFO conference 14 years ago.
Unicus ("unique" in Latin) is billed as a "magazine for earthbound
extraterrestrials."
"I know that there's a ridicule factor; I've dealt with it a long time,"
he said. "You can dispute this all day long. Anybody's welcome to dispute
whether these are all lens flares [in the photographs], but what about all
the eyewitness accounts? Are all these people nuts?" Clearly, crying "alien"
isn't easy. But Stanley's not the only one doing it. There have been
numerous accounts from well-known and so-called "credible" figures
throughout history. John Lennon, David Bowie, former Pre-ident Ronald
R-agan even Christopher Columbus, who spotted a "light glimmering at a
great distance" while sailing to the New World in 1492 have all claimed
to have seen UFOs.
These days, more than half (56 percent) of the American public believe
in UFOs, according to a 2002 Roper poll. Not only that, but nearly as many
(48 percent) believe that UFOs have visited Earth, the poll said.
"I think a lot of people see these things," Stanley said, "but who are
you going to report it to?" There are a few organizations set up to field
such reports. The National UFO Reporting Center in the state of Washington,
for one, gets about 3,000 e-mails and phone calls a year. In 1976, former
Pre-ident Jimmy Car-er claimed to have seen something strange above the
skies of Leary, Ga., (debunkers have called his sighting a misidentification
of Venus). "It was the darndest thing I've ever seen," Carter reportedly
said during his presidential campaign that year. "It was big, it was very
bright, it changed colors, and it was about the size of the moon. We watched
it for 10 minutes, but none of us could figure out what it was. "One thing's
for sure," he continued. "I'll never make fun of people who say they've
seen unidentified objects in the sky."
Perhaps one of the most compelling reported UFO sightings occurred in
1997 when thousands of Arizona residents watched a large V-shaped formation
of lights gliding across the sky for almost two hours. News teams swooped
down on the story, calling the formation "the Phoenix Lights" and
broadcasting eyewitness accounts, video footage and photographs. "The
data speaks for itself," said Dr. Lynn Kitei, who won the best director
award at the 2005 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival
for her documentary, "The Phoenix Lights," which explored the March 13,
1997, incident. The Air Fo-ce later claimed the lights were flares dropped
from an A-10 "Warthog."
"They've been seen everywhere on this planet," Stanley said of UFOs. "The
Phoenix Lights definitely happened. I think it could happen again. Here's
the bottom line. This is going to keep happening." Curious?

Cell Phones Invisible Hazards of the Wireless Age
Few people would be surprised to hear that cell phones are unhealthy.
But how many of us actually know the degree of damage they cause, the
extent of the cover-up by the industry, or that there is a viable
solution? Dr. George Ca-lo, a mobile phone industry whistleblower,
recently presented a talk in Vancouver about how electropollution from
wireless technology can cause brain damage, cancer and an array of
mental illnesses.
I checked his facts against recent, peer-reviewed scientific papers
and the results were startling.
Dr. Ca-lo explained why the industry’s user manuals don’t warn of these
health hazards: currently, there are pending class action lawsuits against
them, which threaten to expose the entire industry, similar to the cases
brought against Big Tobacco, and the asbestos and silicone breast
implant industries. But what really shone brightly in Dr. Car-o’s message
were his realistic solutions. One option is to have fibre-optic cables
running underground to our curbs to shorten the distance and power
necessary for the wireless signals. According to Dr. C-rlo, this option
requires an ongoing search for the diamond poli-ician or activist who will
take the lead. It’s important to get the facts straight. Dr. Ca-lo,
a scientist hired by the cell phone industry in the ‘90s, now believes
cell phones are the greatest health hazard of our time. In his view, there
is no question that mobile phones cause terrible health consequences. It
seemed prudent to independently check the recent, peer-reviewed scientific
literature to see if his mid-1990s results are supported today. A quick
search revealed five excellent studies from 2006 that provide strong
evidence of serious problems from electromagnetic signals from cell
phones. In contrast, several review studies that pooled results
from 10 to 20 other studies suggested the evidence isn’t conclusive either
way. However, these reviews may have been diluted by the inclusion of some
studies with ties to telecommunication industry funders. One author cited
in these studies is affiliated with on Australian institute that has an
FAQ web page full of suspicious PR (see www.acrbr.org.au/FAQ.htm). The
website states this group of scientists has agreed, by committee, on the
science they want to do: essentially, that which shows cell phones are
harmless, and they will focus their research accordingly. Very revealing
PR. Dr. Ca-lo also found that among more than 300 studies completed over
the past six years, those funded by the industry are more than six times
more likely to find nothing wrong than studies that are funded
independently. Dr. Car-o explained in detail his theory of how cell
phones cause brain damage. It begins with the wave. The signals use
carrier waves of around 1,900 megahertz (MHz), which are so high in
frequency that they pass right through us, and our houses, unnoticed. But
harmful information-carrying waves are packed into the carrier waves.
These information waves, which carry signals that can be decoded by our
computers and mobile phones, are low-frequency waves in the range of one
hertz (Hz). That’s slow. So slow that our cells can feel them as an
aggravating, physical jolt at their surfaces. Within 30 seconds or so of
bombardment, our cells temporarily shut down their surface transport and
intercellular communication functions, to resist further damage from
threatening invaders. Normally, small threats to cells cause them
to send out chemical signals to neighbouring cells that tell them to
protect themselves from invaders, and they signal for help from our immune
system’s T-cells. But bombardment from mobile phone waves causes whole
areas of cells and tissues to shut down their surfaces, stopping the
active transport of good and bad stuff in and out of the cell, without
time to signal a warning to other cells. Further, the shut down of gap
junction communication pathways compromises tissue and organ functions,
including the immune system. Free radicals build up inside the
cells so they eventually die and spill toxins and fragmented DNA into the
space between cells. There, micronuclei form as a result of membranes
becoming organized around broken bits of DNA. These micronuclei wreak
havoc, disrupting cell function and allowing can-ers to form. That is how,
as Dr. Car-o explains, both benign and malignant tumours are caused by
wireless signals. He suggests a similar process occurs at the blood-brain
barrier that protects our delicate neurons and their tiny sophisticated
chemical signals from contaminants in our blood. Once cells in the barrier
are shut down by mobile phone waves, all kinds of big, toxic molecules
enter our neural spaces where they can cause many problems, among them
autism spectrum disorders, which include some types of anxiety attacks,
hyperactivity, ADD, problems with focussing, mild and severe autism,
hyper-irritability and others. Based on levels of adult cell phone
use in the ‘90s, Dr. C-rlo predicts 40,000 to 50,000 new cases of brain
and eye ca-cer caused by mobile phones each year worldwide. By 2010, he
estimates the number to be near a half million cases.

John Winston. joh...@mlode.com
Subject: Is The Use Of Cell Phones Dangerous? Part 2. Dec. 16, 2006.

This talks about what is considered to be an ancient analog computer.

............................................................................
............................................................................

Given that Dr. Ca-lo’s prediction derives from conditions in the ‘90s
average use of 500 to 1,000 minutes per month, with little or no wireless
background signal the numbers are bound to be higher. Increasingly, we are
blasted by wireless signals all day long, both at home and at work. In
certain closed spaces, such as cars or buses, the signals are intensely
amplified as they bounce around, trapped. Data, so far, suggest there is
no safe level, only a probable safe duration of exposure. Our cells may not
be damaged until after about 30 seconds of bombardment from wireless phone
signals.
Dr. C-rlo also suggests our cells can be imprinted so they remember the
disruption and pass it down to future cells. This may be why some people
seem to have heightened sensitivity, experienced as sudden unexplained
anxiety when walking past a wireless hotspot. While peer-reviewed studies
have not yet been done to directly address this claim, most of us have
experienced the effects of an information-carrying signal that disrupts
sensitive objects around us, like the car stereo.
Although additional research is required, our instincts are probably
right; these signals have an effect and it is unnerving.
So why don’t our cell phones and wireless cards come with a Use at your
own risk label and a warning that there is evidence they may be harmful?
The crux of the problem is historical. Mobile phones were exempted from
pre-market safety testing in the ‘80s because they were presented as
merely low-powered devices, taking the pressure off the industry to prove
their safety. This was a problem for advocates and opponents
alike.
Industry found it necessary to prove they were safe to defend against
claims such as the cell phone related brain ca-cer death of Deborah Re-nard
in 1993. Reyn-rd’s ca-cer was unusual, growing from the outside to the
inside of her head, at the precise location of her mobile phone antenna.
Following that case, the industry began to fund its own researchers to
study the health effects of cell phones, but it struck a deal with the
regulating bodies that stipulated they would only research the damaging
effects of cell phones as long as they could remain unregulated until all
the research was done. That’s when the industry hired Dr. Car-o.
Even before Dr. Ca-lo’s group’s research was published, the industry began
to file for patents on devices to make them safe, but these depended on
proof that cell phones posed a danger. It was a classic Catch-22, leading
to a cascade of hypocritical acts by the ndustry as it sought safer
technologies, while at the same time printing users’ manuals stating that
cell phones were not harmful.
The industry was obviously aware that Dr. Ca-lo was a threat; since his
findings, he has been threatened, physically attacked, defamed and his
house mysteriously burned down. By 1998, his group’s research showed that
the nearfield electromagnetic plume of seven or eight inches around the
antenna of the cell phone caused leakage in the blood brain barrier, as
well as rare neural-epithelial ca-cers and double to triple the risk of
benign and malignant brain tumours.
Then there’s the story of Milt Bo-ling, Canada’s most outspoken mobile
phone critic and head of the Electromagnetic Radiation Task Force (ERTFC).
In the ‘90s, Bowl-ng was catapulted into an all-consuming battle with the
industry when it attempted to erect a cell tower on the roof of his son’s
school. It became outrageous when one company implanted a mobile phone
transmitter inside a chu-ch cross and donated it to the c-urch across from
the school.
Bo-ling’s story appeared on the Fifth Estate in 1997 and made waves
around the world. His chief concern now is that our safety regulations are
ridiculously outdated, only requiring limits for radiation high enough to
heat body tissue by one degree celsius within six minutes.
He says this is like saying if it doesn’t cook you, there’s no problem.
Clearly, science shows problems prior to the tissue heating. Given the
threat of public opposition roused by activists such as Dr. Car-o, and
Bowl-ng here in Vancouver, why don’t our gove-nments establish more
restrictions? Vested interests are a huge problem. Gov-rnments know they can
only charge a tiny fee for licensing alternatives, such as fibre-optics,
whereas they can charge a fortune for wireless bandwiths, totalling
several billion dollars in the US. So gov-rnments have taken the
path-most-paying. As an example, to pay for initial, expensive, wireless
infrastructure (towers), industry made agreements with regulators (e.g.
the Fed-ral Communications Commission, or FCC in the US) that the big
companies could pay 10 percent down and leave the cell phone users to pay
off the remainder. This may be the reason for the aggressive marketing of
mobile phone plans to teens; there’s a big debt to pay off.
The industry’s need to cover-up the hazards of wireless technology has
been fuelled not only by fear of lost profits, but also by fear of
bankruptcy.
Insurance companies gradually withdrew all coverage for claims relating to
health problems from cell phones following the first studies showing they
were dangerous. Today, there are seven pending class action suits against
the mobile phone industry; one successful lawsuit alone could bankrupt a
company by setting a precedent for other pending lawsuits. It took just
one such lawsuit each to bring down the silicone breast implant and
asbestos industries.
A more frightening side of all of this is that the cell/wireless
industries represent such an enormous portion of the stock market. If they
caved in suddenly, the ripples could be catastrophic. We all need to be
sensible. Expose the truth, plan for changes and move swiftly and
intelligently towards a better, less wireless world.
This article was inspired by a recent talk by Dr. George Ca-lo, a
scientist and cell phone industry whistleblower. Visit
(www.safewireless.org) for more information about Dr. C-rlo’s work. His
visit to Vancouver was sponsored by the Health Acti-nNetwork Society
(www.hans.org).

Ancient Computer Provides More Questions Than Answers

Scientists Mystified by 2,100-Year-Old Device.
The island of Antikythera lies 18 miles north of Crete, where the
Aegean Sea meets the Mediterranean. Currents there can make shipping
treacherous -- and one ship bound for ancient Rome never made it.
The ship that sank there was a giant cargo vessel measuring nearly 500
feet long. It came to rest about 200 feet below the surface, where it
stayed for more than 2,000 years until divers looking for sponges
discovered the wreck a little more than a century ago.
inside the hull were a number of bronze and marble statues. From the look
of things, the ship seemed to be carrying luxury items, probably made in
various Greek islands and bound for wealthy patrons in the growing Roman
Empire. The statues were retrieved, along with a lot of other unimportant
stuff, and stored.
Nine months later, an enterprising archaeologist cleared off a layer of
organic material from one of the pieces of junk and found that it looked
like a gearwheel. It had inscriptions in Greek characters and seemed to
have something to do with astronomy.
That piece of "junk" went on to become the most celebrated find from the
shipwreck; it is displayed at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
Research has shown that the wheel was part of a device so sophisticated
that its complexity would not be matched for a thousand years -- it was
also the world's first known analog computer. (JW Many years ago I was
civilian instructor working for RCA teaching the US Army, at Fort Bliss,
how to operate and maintain the M-38 "Skysweeper" rada controlled gun. It
was a device that you could lock on to airplane and it would figure out
the speed and distance of the airplane and shoot it down. Sometimes just
for pratice we would lock on to a large flying bird such as a sea gull and
it would track it and stay on it all by itself. It contained an analog
computer with mechanical resolvers that functioned as a computer.)
The device is so famous that an international conference organized in
Athens a couple of weeks ago had only one subject: the Antikythera
Mechanism.

Here is an explanation of what the Star Of Bethlehem is.

UFO's in the Life of C-rist
by Jim Aho

Most reli-ious people and Bi-le scholars would agree that the centerpoint
of
the Ch-istian Bi-le is the life and message of Je--s Chr-st.
Many people often wonder who he really was. Was he just another prophet?
Just a man who happened to be a really good person? The very Son of Go-?
Personally, when I read his message I see wisdom that was much before its
time.
He not only taught the basic spi-tual principle of loving your fellow
man -
he also seemed to have some real insight into scientific principles:
He demonstrated an understanding of how the human body works as evidenced
with hea-ings.
He shared knowledge of future events such as the destruction of Jerusalem
and catostrophic visions of the "end times".
He understood and saw spirit-al forces that were at work in the world -
forces that to this day many people don't even realize exist and mainstream
science in our society is just beginning to study.
The authors of the go-pels recorded the events they saw surrounding the
life of C-rist in the best way they knew how. But they couldn't understand
everything that they were seeing.
Could looking at certain events during the life of Chri-t using our
advanced knowledge of technology shed some light on what might the
authors of the Bi-lical gos-els were witnessing?

Star Of Bethlehem

You know what a star looks like, right?
You also know what airplane lights look like, right? I'm assuming all
of you could easily answer yes to both questions. Now think about this:
What if you knew what stars looked like but didn't know what an airplane
was?
What would you call the airplane lights?
Ok, I'm going to play the part of the person who doesn't know what an
airplane is.
Now, if I were to tell you that last night I saw a set of flashing stars
that moved across the sky, what would you say? Would you agree that they
were stars, or would you tell me that I really saw an airplane?
With this in mind, look at the following passages. Remember, the wise
men knew what stars were, but probably didn't know what UFOs were:
Ma-thew 2: 9-11 (NIV)
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they
had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place
where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On
coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they
bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and
presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.
We all know that stars don't move across the sky and hover over a
particular house, don't we? If I'm wrong about that, I hope there's an
astronomer out there who will let me know. So what was it that the wise
men saw hovering over that house? Could it be the first UFO recorded in
association with the life of Chr-st? Or maybe it wasn't...

Shepherds And An-els

Before the wise men followed the Star of Bethlehem, we have this
account of a strange encounter:
L-ke 2: 8-15
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch
over their flocks at night. An an-el of the Lord appeared to them, and
the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
But the a-gel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of
great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a
Sa-ior has been born to you; he is Chr-st the Lord. This will be a sign
to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the ang-l,
praising G-d and saying, "Glory to Go- in the highest, and on earth peace
to men on whom his favor rests." When the an-els had left them and gone
into he-ven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem
and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
Wow, it must have been quite a sight.
Were these ange-s accompanied by UFOs? Maybe that's what is meant when
it says they went "into h-aven." And it could account for the amazing
amount of light that they reported.

Other Events During The Life Of Chr-st
"Je--s UFO Light"

These strange encounters from the sky didn't stop after the birth of
Ch-ist. They seemed to follow him throughout his time here on earth. For
example, I always wondered where the voice in the following example came
from:
(J--us speaking) "...Father, glorify your name!"
Then a voice came from hea-en, "I have glorified it, and will glorify
it again." The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered;
others said an an-el had spoken to him.
Jes-- said, "This voice was for your benefit, not mine".
Hmm, strange, hey? The account doesn't give a weather report, but
imagine if there was a low cloud cover that day. Do you think maybe a
craft could have been hiding there, watching J--us speak, when it got a
message to relay to the crowds? Now remember what I said in the
introduction to the UFO section of the EARS site, I don't take anything
away from the power of -od, but maybe this was one of those cases where
he used extraterrestrial workers to help do his work.
The bap-ism of --sus is also surrounded by some interesting events:
M-rk 1: 9-11
At that time J--us came from Nazareth in Galilee and was b-ptized by
John in the Jordan. As Je--s was coming up out of the water, he saw
he-ven being torn open and the Spi-it descending on him like a dove. And
a voice came from hea-en: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am
well pleased."
Here we see another case of a voice from heav-n. In this case, the
go-pel writer also includes a visual picture of "hea-en being torn open."
When I hear this phrase I envision a bright light, or some other event
in the sky that the gos-el writer had trouble explaining. Whatever it
was, it's clear that there was something extraordinary happening in the
skies that day over the Jordan river.

"Tranfiguration of Je--s"
The event known as the "transfiguration" also contains some interesting
details that the g-spel writers seem to have had a difficult time putting
into words:
After six days Jes-- took with him Peter, James and John the brother of
James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was
transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes
became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses
and Elijah, talking with Je--s.
Peter said to --sus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish,
I will put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for
Elijah."
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice
from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well
pleased. Listen to him!" When the disciples heard this, they fell
facedown to the ground, terrified. But Jes-- came and touched them. "Get
up," he said. "Don't be afraid."
When they looked up, they saw no one except Je--s.
Notice how the event was enough to really scare the usually brave
Peter, but J--us remained calm. Was this something Je--s had seen before?
He seemed very at ease with the whole situation. If the bright light came
from some kind of craft that had landed, it may indicate that Jes-- was
very familiar with these craft and they were nothing new to him. Maybe
this was something that actually happened often in those times where
--sus went off by himself to pr-y.

J--us' Final UFO Encounter?

Take a look at this next passage and tell me what it sounds like to you:
A-ts 1: 9-11 (NIV)
After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a
cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the
sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in whi-e stood beside
them.
