That's the fervent hope of a group of ditzy rich girls who have pooled
their sizable trust funds to make sure it happens.
"Well, like, we think Paris would be an awesome president because
she's so popular!" gushes Weatherly Waters, mastermind of the "Paris
for Prez" campaign.
"Those other two guys are always talking about such boring stuff. It's
so confusing that my brain hurts when I watch the news.
"Paris is fun. Anyone who watched her in The Simple Life knows that
she is, like, totally a people person and she should win."
The "Paris for Prez" campaign currently boasts 75 members, each
donating a minimum of $1,000,000 to the cause.
"We don't know too much about campaign finance, but we have lots of
money so we're using it to elect Paris," says Waters. "They told us
we'd have to have a political party, so after A LOT of really hard
thinking, we've decided to have Paris run on the Shopacrat ticket. I
think it's pretty obvious what our party's platform is."
The perfectly pedicured party girls know that it takes more than just
a pretty face and a designer wardrobe to win the hearts and minds of
the American people, though, and they cite Paris' firm grip on
domestic issues.
"Even though she'd never been to WalMart, she was still able to figure
out what it was," says Waters.
"Remember she said, "WalMart? 'Cause, like, they sell wall stuff?' She
is SO smart!" And if you think Paris is a little too frilly to be the
country's commander-in-chief, the Shopacrats have big ideas for who
will fill the office of thevice president.
"Well, duh! It would totally have to be Nicole Richie," says Waters.
"She's such a bad ass ... and so much tougher than what's his face.
Oh, yeah, Cheney. Anyway, anyone with the guts to shove their arm up a
cow's butt is tough enough to handle terrorists.
"Nicole doesn't take crap from anyone. Remember when she tore up that
pool table? She could easily keep Al Qaeda in line." Political
observers are stunned by the notion that Hilton would have a serious
shot at the Oval Office.
"It boggles the mind to even think it's possible, but it is," says a
Washington insider.
"If Jesse Ventura could be elected governor of Minnesota, it's
feasible that Paris could take the 2004 election.
"She's the hottest celebrity out there right now. Guys love her and
girls want to be her." Waters says that Paris is seriously considering
a run for the presidency and has been brushing up on current events
and important issues. When asked about domestic policy recently, Paris
reportedly responded by asking, "Domestic policy? Is that guidelines
for hiring a maid?"
