Anyone out there has adopted a Japanese infant? I hear Chinese, Korean,
Russian and central American babies, but never heard of Japanese. I am
originally from Japan, and love to adopt a Japanese infant. Any idea or
experience you can share with me? I am open for any suggestion. Yukari

I was told that adopting from Japan is possible, but very expensive. One
agency that I found by checking Http://www.adoption.com gave me this
information. (They said their costs were $3,000, but the Japanese agency
side costs were about $25,000.) So go looking on that web page, and talk
to the agencies listed there!
Hope this helps.

> AlisonAm currently in e-mail correspondance with Japanese gentleman (civil
engineer) who is trying to explain Japanese customs on adoptions. He is
very kind, but it is a difficult subject. will advise if you wish to
contact me directly regarding his answer(s). It is much more
complicated than India, or many oriental countries because of the
special traditions of Japanese traditions...escott@bhip.infi.net
