Can anyone with experience suggest particularly good online resources
for those just beginning to look into adopting? Googling of course
turns up tons of hits, but I'm looking for personal recommendations as well.

This group is more or less dead - some of us old-timers visit, but
it's going down to spam.
There's adoption.com - a lot of us here had problems with it because
it's moderated and appears to have an ulterior motive of
intermediating adoption (or at least, carrying ads). Still, it's got a
fairly large group of adoptive parents, birth-parents and adoptees
discussing things in its forums.
