Subject: Van hits co-worker while crossing crosswalk, needs help
On the evening of Tuesday May 10th, my co-worker, Alice Wagner, was
hit while walking in a crosswalk by a van in Federal Way, Washington.
The driver of the van and passenger were jailed for unrelated
warrants, and were driving uninsured.  Alice was flown to the
Intensive Care Unit of Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where
they had to cut open her scull to remove a blood clot and allow the
brain to swell.  She has made a miraculous recovery to date, as she
could have easily been a vegatable.  She has been moved to Good
Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA at this time.  She is an employee
of the Boeing Company, but has run out of sick leave and vacation.
The Boeing Company does not allow other workers to donate their sick
leave and vacation to fellow co-workers in need at this time.  An
account has been set up at Seafirst Bank in the Puget Sound area. Her
long term disability will be kicking in shortly, but that only pays
60% of her income.  If some of you could help out, even a few dollars
would help out with enough people.  If you can help, please send
donations to account # 92 040 658 to Seafirst Bank, 101 S. 9th St.,
Tacoma, WA 98402, or if you are in the local area to the nearest
branch office. If you have any questions or if you would like to be
kept up to date on her progress, please Email back, and I will answer
by Email.  Thank you very much for your  your generosity!
