Did the �American Music Awards� save the best for last Sunday night? � Or
did the show do its best to hide a controversial and polarizing appearance
by Adam Lambert?
I didn�t see Lambert�s sexed-up, show-closing performance of his new
single, �For Your Entertainment,� until late last night (after the show).
And by that time the Twitterverse and blogosphere were roiling with after-
shocks.
During the segment, Lambert, surrounded by scantily clad dancers, grabbed
one of his backup musicians by the the neck and gave him an open-mouthed
kiss. At another point, the �American Idol� alum thrust a guy�s face into
his crotch and simulated oral sex. Earlier in the raunchy performance, he
walked a group of dancers on a leash. Clearly, �American Idol� never
prepared us for this.
I have no problem with Lambert being over the top and out there (in more
ways than one). That�s who he is. And I can understand that he wants to
put the �real� Adam on display while freeing himself from the �Idol�
shackles.
But I question his judgment. Prime time on a broadcast network isn�t
exactly the proper forum for this. And throughout the performance, my
thoughts drifted to all the grandmotherly types who pledged their undying
allegiance to Lambert during �American Idol.� How many of them did he turn
off and offend? And did he hurt his career in the process?
But offensive or not, I simply thought the performance felt calculated and
overly forced. I�m not all that impressed by the song, either. I�m an Adam
fan and know he is capable of so much more.
But enough of me. What did you think of the performance? Are you still on
the Adam Lambert bandwagon? Or have you had your fill of his kind of
�Entertainment�?
AIDS will remove Adam Lambert soon enough. Let's hope he dies screaming
and choking in agony.

Remember, religious people have problems. They need someone's help
because they can't do it alone. So they pay the church enough money so
the pastor has the time and energy to tell them what to do and what to
