The plain, (and obvious) fact is that these people are in denial. They just
can't conceive of the fact that their mythical God in which they have been
taught to believe since birth, could let so much misery exist in his
universe. So, either it doesn't exist, or what we think of as misery is
really something else. And, since they haven't ever frozen or starved to
death, it really isn't happening. Either that, or all theswe furry little
creature3s are really the embodied souls of past human bad guys who didn;t
believe. Of course, the fact that they outnumber all the humans who ever
lived by a factor of over a million don't make no never mind to them.
Whatever one must believe in order to make the3ir Christian myth possible is
accdeptable to them. Logic don't count.....

exactly as if no god existed?

Two thousand years ago we had burning bushes that talked, talking
snakes, water into wine, walking on water, global flood, sticks into
snakes and Manna raining down to feed Moses and his people. We had
whole cities destroyed for being bad, parting a sea, zombie jesus,
virgin giving birth to a god and deadly plagues of boils, frogs and
blood, and the murder of the first born.

I'm sure I left a lot out from the 'good ol' days'.

So now, not a peep. Oh sure, an occasional toast image and a wall
stain, but seriously... he's losing his touch. Of course, you'd expect
that from something that doesn't exist.
