Yes, but the US still ranks #1 in the list of the best countries to be a
corporate raider. Just ask Mitt.
And get your priorities straight.
-- But the Bush apologists hope that you won't remember all that. And they
also have a theory, which I've been hearing more and more - namely,
that President Obama, though not yet in office or even elected, caused the
2008 slump. You see, people were worried in advance about his future
policies, and that's what caused the economy to tank. Seriously.

Great post. One thing I don't get. I don't get how anyone feels that
the system of taking over companies, destroying them, displacing all
the workers, and giving yourself all the booty is a world skill. This
is basically piracy, no matter how you look at it, with the
endorsement of our elected officials.
Why did anyone think Enron was for real? Or that Facebook is less
than vaporwear?
So, why do people keep kowtowing to those who really have no actual
power over them? Why do we knuckle under, tune out, and ignore
reality? And those of us who have seen reality, with the curse of
Cassandra ... wouldn't it be nice to be that blissfully oblivious?
Carcinoma Sapiens, that's us, used up all the resources and are now
feeding off our own species suicide ...
