you bloodey quick but it brought up the wrong ip coz im trying to find out
his ip for him and i know my ip and i crossed referenced the answer on the
webpage with the one winipcfg provided in win98 and it brought up the right
one the website brought up a completly different one

the one the webpage brings up is the one that the web will see or any
logs on the web
are you talking about an internal ip[ on a network?

like 192. or 10. ?

start run cmd

ipconfig /all

David, do the following:

Network Places/
View Network Connections/
Right Click on Local Area Connection (the one that's enabled)/
Go to Properties/
Checkmark "Show icon in notification.."/
Go to Taskbar/
Right click on Local Area Connection/
Go to Status/
Click on Support Tab and wallah!

Its the right IP address. The html file is filtered and the
address inserted server side.
