Firmware update?

Anyone out there know if it's possible to update the AlphaGrip's firmware? I'd love to gain access to the newer version's handling of the trackball (booster and acceleration), but could find no way to do this from their web site. Also, from my reading of this, it would allow me to escape the irritating mess with it makes with my dual monitor setup.

Sorry Steve, the AlphaGrip’s firmware cannot be modified.  The best we can do is to offer a discount to existing customers if they purchase a new AlphaGrip.  Please contact sa...@alphagrip.com if you’re interested.

Does the new iGrip firmware solve the problem of the CapsLock key not
sending a scancode to the host computer?

No, the new iGrip firmware does not solve the problem of the CapsLock key,
among others, not sending a scancode to the host computer. It only lets you
speed up the iGrip's trackball without affecting any other pointing device
which you may also have connected to your computer.

Thanks for the honest reply, Mike. This is good news that my efforts
on the OpenAG5 project[1] were not a complete waste. Now I can
continue the project when my reservoir of motivation reaches
sufficient levels. :-)
