  Spaghetti with Meat Sauce &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt; 1 lb lean ground beef &lt;br&gt; 3/4 cup finely chopped onion &lt;br&gt; 2 tsp minced garlic &lt;br&gt; 2 16-oz cans crushed tomatoes &lt;br&gt; 2 6-oz cans tomato paste &lt;br&gt; 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano &lt;br&gt; 1 tsp salt &lt;br&gt; 1/2 tsp pepper &lt;br&gt; 2 1-lb packages spaghetti &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt; Put the ground beef, onions, and garlic in a medium saucepan and cook together over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the onions are softened, about 10 minutes.  Add the tomatoes and their juices, the tomato paste, 1 cup water, and the oregano, salt and pepper.  Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour.
