Fresher's Freeshop- Help with the collection this year

Volunteers wanted!
Do you remember the Fresher’s Freeshop? Did you get some great freebies last year? Help us with the move-out collection this May & June!!
Soon after exams, students departing from halls leave behind TONNES of unwanted stuff (household goods, books, clothes...etc): that’s when WE enter the game (see a 1 minute video). For the past four years People & Planet have worked closely with the Accommodation Services to collect over 30 tonnes of stuff and redistributed it to students for free in Fresher’s week, preventing it from going to the landfill.
It’s collection time once again: We are looking for volunteers to help collecting and sorting all that amazing amount of stuff on the 27-29th May, 3-5th and 7th June. Can you make any of these dates? ...Even for a few hours?
It would be good if you could let us know when exactly you would be available for volunteer [e.g. morning(9:00 to 13:00), afternoon (14:00-18:00) or all day(lunch included)]. Ideally we would require more people on the 29th & in the June slots.
The time usually volunteers stay for varies and any time you can make would be great. However, in line to the project ethos, to get yourself some of the quality items we requires volunteers to put in some more time.
Come and contribute to this great waste-saving initiative, helping Edinburgh become a zero-waste university.
