Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I was out of the office
all last week.
We currently perform automatic updates of the member count and next
event date for both Meetup groups and Yahoo groups. We are testing
code to perform the same updates for Google groups as well. This is
definitely something that we are extending to more sites where we can,

Dear MAP Developers,

Good afternoon!

When one of my groups has a meetup.com site, it automatically
populates the “meeting” and “members” columns on MAP.

Are there other sites (like Yahoo, Google, etc.) that would also
automatically populate the same fields on MAP or only meetup.com?

Hi Kim,
I realize that there haven't been a lot of updates lately. That's
because we are working away at some big changes to the Meetup Alliance
site. We are doing an overhaul of the site design that should
hopefully simplify the site, and really help the Alliances themselves
stand out. We're also working on some tools to better expose activity

It looks like just the alliance name portion of the URL is wrong:
instead of "ronpaul" it should be "ronpaul2008". So the full URL

A lot of LinkedIn Groups are simply groups that exist elsewhere, e.g.,
on facebook, Meetup, etc. that want people to be able to join from
LinkedIn and display a group badge. It's part communication tool,
part publicity, part alliance forming, part personal identity. It'd
be great to make it more obvious how a LinkedIn group could tie into

We do pull group information, such as member count and next event

To clarify, I'm asking about API-level integration. Perhaps I've read
more into the product badges on the [link]
home page, but to me it implied there was integration with Facebook,
Myspace, Yahoo, and Google groups.
