No - all indexing with SOLR is always 100% out-of-transaction, both for metadata and content.

I have been running some performance tests with inplace ingestion against Alfrsco 4.1.4. Our current setup has SOLR running on a separate server. Does InTransactionIndexing still happen in the same way with SOLR?
