Alfresco Enterprise 3.4 and Bulk file import 1.1, how to perform bulk import Programmatically?

We are using Alfresco Enterprise 3.4.9 and bulk file import 1.1 amp file. We would like to use the tool to run imports programmatically. Could you please let me know what jar files are required and if it would support the current configuration we have?

This is possible OOTB via HTTP calls, which can scripted using curl or wget or similar tools.  There's a placeholder page on the wiki [1] that includes a link to an earlier mailing list thread where this was discussed.
