Dear All,

When I posted my 'Balance of the Head Blog' http://headbalance.blogspot.com/ , it was mainly a theoretical idea. I am now pleasantly surprised to find that this idea helps to correct a lot of problems with the skeletal and muscular system in general and makes it possible to accurately balance the musculoskeletal system. I am upbeat now that I will be able to figure out the natural balance of the Atlas and the Axis.

I find the main routine that helps me to get my head back is sleeping on my side. The same routine also helps to improve the alignment of the spine lower down and helps to improve the functioning of the stomach muscles. I have now got used to sleeping without a pillow - I prop my head on my upper arm or my hands - and surprisingly enough feel perfectly comfortable doing so! More than ten years back I experimented sleeping without a pillow and had to give up after a month. Today I would run from a pillow if I was offered one :-)

I would not suggest that people should give up their pillows in a hurry. It would be better to sleep on one's side using a pillow and also experiment with Alexander Semi-supine, reducing the thickness of the pillow in stages.

Quite clearly it is necessary to get the parts of the body in a desired envelop before natural balance of the body can take place. Are the various disciplines involved in posture correction clear about what this envelop is?

Regards,
Selvaraj

P.S. Once again I must caution, it is necessary for the upper and lower parts of the body to work in tandem. The feet and the stomach muscles must be free to function naturally.
