New City of Alexandria Transportation Planning Administrative Guidelines

To ensure that the impact of new developments on City transportation facilities is understood and mitigated, the City recently published Transportation Planning Administrative Guidelines (March 25, 2013). The guidelines standardize the process for  providing a comprehensive analysis of multi-modal impacts related to development proposals. For example, Transit, Bicycle and Pedestrian facilities within 1/2 mile of a large development must be addressed as part of the associated Transportation Study.
